Iran's science, economy ministries condole Raeisi martyrdom

TEHRAN, May 20 (MNA) – The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance have extended condolence messages over Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi’s martyrdom in a helicopter crash.

The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology conveyed a condolence message on Monday, stating that the country's academic community will continue to advance the nation's progress by following the path of the late President Raeisi.

The ministry extended its condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the government, and the Iranian nation, particularly the esteemed academic community.

Additionally, Iran’s Economy Minister Ehsan Khandouzi expressed his condolences by sharing the news of President Raeisi's martyrdom on his page.

He offered his condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the resilient Iranian nation.

A helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed in a dense forest area in East Azarbaijan on Sunday.

The helicopter's passengers, including Ebrahim Raeisi, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran's East Azarbaijan Province Governor Malek Rahmati, and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to East Azarbaijan Province, along with several other people were martyred in the incident.
